Vasily Tofan’s Cabinet received a vote of confidence from Parliament

The Moldovan Parliament approved the new government headed by Vasile Tofan. At the July 21 session, 53 deputies from the “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) party voted in favor of the cabinet’s composition.

Tofan's government

The new cabinet consists of 17 ministers and several deputy prime ministers responsible for key areas of domestic and foreign policy:

  • Prime Minister—Vasily Tofan;
  • Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization—Evgheni Osmochescu;
  • Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development – Vladimir Bolea;
  • Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration – Cristina Gerasimov;
  • Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs – Mihai Popșoi;
  • Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration – Valeriu Chiveri;
  • Minister of Education and Research – Dan Perchun;
  • Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry – Radu Mustiață;
  • Minister of the Interior – Daniela Misail-Nichitin;
  • Minister of Justice – Vladislav Cojuhari;
  • Minister of Finance – Victoria Belous;
  • Minister of Labor and Social Protection – Natalia Plugaru;
  • Minister of Health – Alexandru Gasnaș;
  • Minister of the Environment – Gheorghe Hajder;
  • Minister of Culture – Dan Surucanu;
  • Minister of Energy – Dorin Junghietu;
  • Minister of Defense – Anatolie Nosatîi.
