Tofan: “Don’t expect results from us in the first 100 days!”

Prime Ministerial candidate Vasile Tofan presented an ambitious government program to the parliament, asking for a vote of confidence and … for patience: there are so many challenges ahead that immediate results should not be expected. At the same time, the candidate expressed complete confidence that his team would rise to the responsibility entrusted to it—all it takes is effort and moving step by step toward the goals outlined in the program.

At the same time, the prime ministerial candidate did not rule out the possibility of mistakes and expressed the new government’s willingness to acknowledge its errors. “We will be open to criticism—but only constructive criticism, not criticism based solely on political motives—criticism that comes with counterproposals, calculations, and evidence explaining why a decision is wrong.”

Vasile Tofan backed up the five key points outlining the Cabinet’s main areas of focus with his personal experience in solving problems, which fully aligns with the ruling majority’s position but is distinguished by a creative, entrepreneurial approach to working methods.

For example, in response to a question from “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) party MP Marina Moroz about how he intends to attract foreign capital to the country, Vasile Tofan promised to simply pick up the phone and call key investors, while at the same time instilling optimism in those who have already invested their capital in Moldova.
