The company expects the new system to enable organizations to automate data processing, decision making and internal workflows without constant employee involvement.

AI agents will have full autonomy

As AINews reports, the new technology was presented at the Empower 2026 conference. It is about the so-called agentic AI-systems – software agents that are able not only to analyze information, but also independently initiate actions within the specified business rules.

According to the company, AI agents will be able to:

– Analyze corporate documents;

– extract data;

– form answers;

– initiate business processes;

– track the fulfillment of tasks;

– Interact with other systems within the organization.

Laserfiche claims that the system will reduce manual work and speed up the processing of internal operations.

“The future of enterprise AI is not just content generation, but the ability for AI to perform real-world actions,” said Laserfiche CTO Michael Allen.

Companies are moving from chatbots to autonomous AI

The launch of AI agents reflects a broader trend in the enterprise AI market. While the first waves of AI adoption were predominantly about text generation and information retrieval, technology companies are now increasingly moving toward autonomous systems that can independently manage individual business functions.

In other words, we are talking about a new stage in the development of corporate agents, where the key factor is not the quality of chatbot answers, but the ability of the system to integrate into the real work processes of companies.

For business this means potential reduction of operating costs, acceleration of document flow and automation of administrative functions. At the same time, the issues of control, data security and distribution of responsibility in decision-making by AI systems are becoming increasingly important.

Laserfiche, a private company, has been working on the market of corporate content management and document automation for more than 35 years. Its platform is used by government agencies, financial organizations and corporate clients in different countries.
