The program supports projects that contribute to the diversification of the Republic of Moldova’s tourism offerings by developing new tourism products and experiences, promoting destinations, and implementing innovative digital solutions. It is funded from the state budget as part of Moldova’s Growth Plan for 2025–2027.
It will be implemented by the state agency “National Tourism Office,” which serves as the lead coordinator. The agency provides the strategic and institutional framework necessary for the effective implementation of the program’s activities. This program facilitates the coordination of initiatives, the mobilization of resources, and the coordinated promotion of the program’s objectives at the national level.
Three strategic areas have been identified for the implementation of effective projects.
The first is the development of sustainable tourism. This involves investments in small-scale infrastructure, eco-trails, and the promotion of local heritage, with an emphasis on diversifying the national tourism product. Areas: rural, wine, gastronomic, and cultural tourism; light adventure tourism; and ecotourism.
The second is innovative tourism services—digitalization and AI. The adoption of cutting-edge technologies to enhance the tourism experience and improve the sector’s productivity, sustainability, and competitiveness. Focus areas: digitalization of SMEs, technological innovation, digital infrastructure for tourist destinations, and strengthening organizational capacity.
Third—raising the profile of tourist destinations. Promoting wine routes and promising destinations through creative campaigns, coordinated branding, and effective digital tools. Objectives: coordinated marketing, national and regional branding, and attracting foreign tourists.
Those promoting a single destination can apply for a grant of up to 300,000 lei. For two destinations—up to 500,000 lei. For three—up to 750,000 lei, with a minimum 20% contribution from the applicant.
Applications will be accepted until August 19, 2026.
