In the first phase, 6,144 NVIDIA Blackwell-generation graphics processors will be installed at the facility. Following the completion of the second phase of the project, it is planned to commission an additional 42,000 graphics processors.

Armenia’s Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mkhitar Ayrapetyan, as quoted by Radar.am, called the project one of the key elements of the country’s future technology-driven economy.

“This project is not only a powerful engineering feat but also a crucial cornerstone of Armenia’s future technology-driven economy. Our strategic goal is to transform the country into a global ‘AI factory park,’ where supercomputing capabilities, local talent, and an innovative ecosystem will work in synergy,” the minister stated.

Ayrapetyan also noted that, thanks to the cooperation between the Armenian government and Firebird, the country aims to transition from being a consumer of technology to developing and offering its own high-tech products and solutions in the field of artificial intelligence.

Firebird was founded in 2025 and is headquartered in San Francisco. The company develops AI projects in regions where access to modern computing power is limited. The AI supercomputer in Razdan, Armenia, became its first major project in the Caucasus region.
