According to Zelensky, these areas are important for both countries not only economically but also in terms of security and mutual assistance.
The president noted that the presence of Moldova’s foreign minister at the annual meeting of Ukrainian ambassadors demonstrates that the two countries’ foreign policy priorities largely coincide, particularly on issues of security and European integration.
“It is important that we continue to move forward together across the full spectrum of shared goals,” Zelensky said.
He also thanked Moldova for its consistent support of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi reaffirmed the Republic of Moldova’s support for Ukraine’s efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace based on respect for Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders.
As a reminder, Mihai Popșoi is in Kyiv to participate in the annual meeting of Ukrainian ambassadors at the invitation of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga.
In his remarks, Mihai Popșoi noted the high level of work carried out by Ukrainian diplomacy in recent years, stating that it has succeeded in maintaining unprecedented international unity, securing support for Ukraine from the democratic world, and translating international solidarity into concrete actions—ranging from sanctions and financial aid to the strengthening of air defense. According to him, Ukrainian diplomats have made Ukraine’s struggle a shared cause for many nations around the world, and the scale and pace of their work have set an example for the international community.
