
The relevant draft decree, developed by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, provides for the adaptation of the agency’s structure to European Union standards in the field of information security risk management directly affecting flight safety.
The new service will consist of 3 staff units (head of unit and 2 inspectors). Its key tasks will include certification, audit, supervision and monitoring of information security incidents among aviation entities.
Within the framework of this project, the maximum number of staff of the Civil Aviation Authority will increase from 93 to 96 units.
The implementation of these changes will entail additional annual expenses, estimated at 986,840 lei for 3 new positions. According to the explanatory note, the innovations will not require additional allocations from the state budget for 2026 and will be fully covered within the already approved limits of the authority.
