According to the Agency for Regional Development “Yug”, the facility was built under the Entrepreneurship Support Program and is designed to develop new small businesses in the region. The authorities call the project one of the steps to strengthen the local economy and create jobs.
According to the agency, a special commission, which included representatives of the regional authorities, the district council and the contracting organization, inspected the facility and confirmed that all construction works were carried out in accordance with the approved documentation. The new workshop occupies an area of 1181 square meters. meters. In addition to the main building, the project included the installation of engineering communications – water supply, sewerage and gas, construction of a sanitary block and improvement of the adjacent territory with an area of more than 3.4 thousand square meters.
The next stage is to connect the facility to the power grid. These works will be performed separately under the same investment project.
The main part of the funds – almost 90% – came from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development of Moldova. The rest was financed by the Cimislia District Council.
The facility will be handed over to a business incubator, which will provide premises for start-up companies. The authorities expect that the new workshop will become a platform for launching small-scale production and will help retain entrepreneurial activity in the region.
