In his style, Musk wasn’t verbose. “Frank is right,” he wrote in his account on Platform X. This was his response to a post by one of his followers, Frank Wright, in which he wrote: “I have looked into the issue and Rupert is our man.”
In this way, Ilon Musk actually agreed with the publication, which promotes the ideas of the Restore Britain movement. The post was accompanied by a cartoon titled “A New Battle for Britain,” which contrasts supporters of tougher migration policies with the current government, traditional parties, the media, and European Union institutions.
Political context
Rupert Lowe represents the Great Yarmouth constituency and left the Reform UK party in 2025 before setting up his own Restore Britain movement. The organization advocates a radical reduction in immigration, increased border controls and large-scale deportation programs.
The publication, which Musk endorsed, was posted under the hashtag #Restore and called for “restoring Britain” amid ongoing debates in the country about migration, national identity and the consequences of years of immigration policy.
Musk and European politics
This is not the first time the head of Tesla and SpaceX has spoken out publicly on European politics. In recent years, Musk has repeatedly criticized the migration policies of a number of European states and supported politicians who advocate tighter control over migration flows.
His comments regularly generate a wide public response thanks to the audience of social network X, where the entrepreneur remains one of the most influential users of the platform.
Musk’s critics believe that such statements increase political polarization, while his supporters call them a defense of freedom of speech and the right to open discussion on migration and national policy.
