Today, a meeting was held at the City Hall to launch the preparatory phase of this project. It involves the implementation of detailed energy audits in kindergartens. According to the project, the assessment will be carried out in 30 kindergartens in Chisinau.
Today’s meeting was dedicated to the preparation for this procedure of a group of beneficiaries of the project, financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB). It includes 12 kindergartens in the capital’s Center, Botanica, Riscani and Buiucani districts.
The remaining 18 pre-school education institutions included in the first phase of the project will be audited with the technical support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The project consultant will be announced in the near future, after which the preparation of audits and the documentation necessary for tenders to carry out the works will begin.
The total budget of the project is 33.8 million euros and is intended for the energy modernization of up to 50-52 kindergartens in the capital.
As a reminder, the Energy Efficiency Improvement Project is implemented by the Chisinau City Administration with the support of the EBRD, the EIB and the E5P Fund, established in 2009 to support energy efficiency and environmental protection projects.
