This is the second edition of the initiative dedicated to children from the diaspora. The program is organized under the auspices of the General Directorate for Culture and Cultural Heritage of the Chisinau City Hall. It will take place from August 10 to 15, 2026, and is intended for children ages 7 to 12 who are spending their summer vacation in Moldova.
The program will be held in the main building of the library, in the Column Hall. For one week, it will be transformed into a cultural and educational space, offering participants the opportunity to get to know Chisinau by learning the Romanian language and exploring the heritage and traditions that define the identity of the Moldovan capital.
This year’s edition is being held as Chisinau celebrates the 590th anniversary of its first mention in historical documents, and the camp offers a fascinating journey through the city in the context of its history and culture.
Over the course of six days, children will explore the capital’s iconic sites, learn legends and stories about Chisinau, meet with writers and folk artists, and participate in creative workshops, games, and cooking classes.
Participation in the program is free. Registration is open until August 7, 2026, by filling out the online form: https://forms.gle/wkCRci6dcbKoobaP8
