
During the period from May 11 to May 17, 2026, the Customs Service’s revenues to the state budget amounted to more than 846.6 million lei. In total, since the beginning of the current year, the Customs Service has accumulated about 15.1 billion lei in the state treasury. This means the fulfillment of the benchmark indicator by 102.4%.
At the same time, from May 11 to May 17, 2026, individuals imported goods whose customs value exceeded the non-taxable limit. As a result, payments amounting to about 24.0 million lei were collected, which represents 2.8% of the total amount paid during the respective period.
The funds collected from taxpayers go directly to the state budget and are allocated for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects, etc., the CU information emphasized.
In addition, 12,025 customs declarations were processed during last week, and the flow of vehicles amounted to 71,117 crossings. The busiest customs posts remain Leuseni and Sculeni, with 14,729 and 13,030 crossings, respectively.
