The itinerary includes visits to Cortijo Calonge, Finca Benavides – Grupo Borges, and Herdade do Vale de Oliveira, which operate high-tech nut orchards and processing facilities in the southern (arid) regions of the aforementioned countries.

The study tour is organized by the Association of Nut Producers of the Republic of Moldova with support from the GIZ PROGRESS project. This project covers approximately 50% of the costs associated with the business tour. As Oleg Tirsina, the association’s director, noted in a comment to Logos Press, “applications to participate in the tour came in within a single day, which demonstrates the industry operators’ confidence in its prospects.”
