The consultations were held in a hybrid format and focused on the presentation and discussion of four studies that help justify future directions for development.
Specifically, the following were presented: a sociological study of residents; A study on the sociodemographic evolution of Chișinău; a feasibility study on housing construction; and a feasibility study on territorial development.
As Logos Press previously reported, the first discussion took place a month ago. During that session, the Romanian consortium ARHICON, which won the tender to develop the plan, presented the current stage of its update and the next steps, as well as the first two supporting studies submitted for public discussion: “Mobility and Transportation” and “Territorial Cooperation.”
At the opening of the second round of consultations, Chisinau Deputy Mayor Svetlana Dogotaru emphasized that the process of updating the urban development plan is being carried out in stages, through the development and presentation of feasibility studies, and called on stakeholders to review the materials and submit their comments and suggestions.
Vitalie Coceban, Executive Director of the “Infoera” Public Association, which is responsible for the public consultation process, outlined the legal framework of the process, the stages of the consultations, and the methods by which participants can submit proposals and comments.
Comments and suggestions regarding the four feasibility studies may be submitted until September 4, 2026.
