More than 90% of the spots were also filled in training programs for mechanized and automated warehouse operators, lighting system electricians, automotive electricians and electronics technicians, and hairdressers.

In total, nearly 6,000 young people were admitted in the first round, of whom 5,800 were admitted to state-funded spots. In total, about 70% of the 8,300 state-funded spots were filled. Admissions took place at 46 educational institutions across 93 different professions.

Dual vocational education also demonstrated a high level of demand. Of the 2,300 planned state-funded spots, 74.3% were filled. Another 591 spots are available in the second round. Under the dual education program, students combine theoretical training at an educational institution with practical training directly at a company, gaining work experience while still in school.

What spots remain in the second round of admissions

At the same time, approximately 2,400 state-funded spots remain for the second round of admissions. Applications can be submitted until August 28, 2026—either directly to the chosen educational institution or online via the e-Admitere platform.
