More than 120 government officials and employees participated in three online sessions on ethics, professional integrity, and accountability in the exercise of public authority. The program also includes digital courses on anti-corruption and access to information of public interest.

The training is conducted by experts from the National Integrity Authority, the National Anti-Corruption Center, and the National Institute of Administration and Management.

As a reminder, GRECO recommended that Moldova tighten oversight of the activities of former public officials after they leave office—a phenomenon known as “pantuflage”—to prevent the use of previously obtained information, connections, and influence for personal gain. Among the measures are more rigorous tracking and monitoring of former officials’ activities, as well as the provision of advisory opinions on the compatibility of their new jobs with established restrictions.
