The presidents of Romania and Ukraine, Nicusor Dan and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, have signed a statement of intent to produce Ukrainian defense systems, including combat drones, in Romania, they said after a meeting in Bucharest.

The volume of international transfers of major arms worldwide grew by 9.2% between 2016-2020 and 2021-2025. At the same time, European countries more than tripled their arms imports, becoming the largest recipient region.

Falcon Defense, part of the Falcon Group, has announced its official entry into the Romanian market through the launch of an integrated production platform for explosives and artillery ammunition.

Turkey is the country with the largest number of defense companies among NATO countries. The country has more than 3,500 defense companies, compared to about 2,800 in the 29 allied countries of Europe, Logos Press reported.
