Balti authorities promise to complete the installation of CCTV cameras at all garbage sites in the city by the end of this month, after which violators will be fined, according to Logos Press.

The draft budget of Balti municipality for 2026 envisages revenues of 1,204,217.1 thousand lei, expenditures of 1,245,363.4 thousand lei and a deficit of 41,146.3 thousand lei, Logos Press reported.

The building of the National Blood Transfusion Center in Balti with a total area of 2,200 square meters will be modernized as part of the INSPIREE project, Logos Press reports.

Investments in the energy efficiency of buildings justify themselves, so comprehensive thermal rehabilitation of residential buildings will continue, according to Logos Press.

A modern agri-food market will be built in Balti and the roof of the Vasile Alexandri National Theater will be repaired, Logos Press reported.

On July 10, 2025, the Moldovan Parliament approved, in the second reading, a draft law exempting from customs duties used passenger buses intended for replenishing public transport in Balti. Previously, these buses operated in Resita (Caras-Severin county in western Romania), but the municipal authorities of the Romanian twin city decided to donate them to Balti.

For the implementation of the second phase of the project of modernization of the district heating system in Balti, the investment will amount to 17 million euros.

The municipality of Balti may receive 10 second-hand Volvo low-floor buses in working condition from the Romanian twin city of Resita (administrative center of Caras-Severin). Thus, the “northern capital” will get its own municipal buses, which the local authorities have been unsuccessfully seeking for the last few years.
