This is reported by CNN, citing an informed U.S. official, before the same was reported by Axios, writes “European truth”.

The conversation between Trump and Netanyahu on Tuesday, May 19, was allegedly tense, reflecting growing disagreements over the vision of the future course of the war with Iran.

In an earlier conversation on Sunday, Trump said he was leaning toward new strikes on Iran earlier in the week – which he then famously canceled, citing a high chance of reaching a deal diplomatically.

Netanyahu, meanwhile, is irritated with the negotiation process, insisting it is only playing into Tehran’s hands, and favors tough action.

In a conversation on Tuesday, the Israeli leader allegedly said bluntly that he believes Trump’s decision to postpone the next strikes was a mistake, and that it was worth acting as originally planned.

According to an anonymous Israeli official, “the disagreement was obvious.”

Another Israeli source says many other Israeli officials are also convinced that Iran should not be given a break, and are annoyed that Trump is giving in to Tehran’s “negotiating game.”
