The data was presented on August 19, which marks World Humanitarian Day, established by the UN General Assembly in 2008.

As noted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, humanitarian aid in Moldova is intended to support vulnerable individuals and families. Recipients include retirees, orphans and children without parental care, children with disabilities, and large and single-parent families.

In 2026, World Humanitarian Day is being held under the slogan #ActForHumanity. The campaign is dedicated to protecting humanitarian workers and people affected by conflicts and crises, as well as the need to prevent violence against humanitarian workers.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection expressed its gratitude to international partners, donors, and organizations involved in the provision and distribution of humanitarian aid.
