Since the beginning of this year, customs has collected approximately 27.2 billion lei for the budget, which represents 101.5% of the target.
At the same time, between August 17 and 23, 2026, individuals imported goods whose customs value exceeded the tax-free limit, resulting in the collection of approximately 23 million lei in duties, which represents 2.5% of the total amount collected during that period.
In addition, 12,280 customs declarations were processed over the past week, and the flow of vehicles totaled 104,890 border crossings. The busiest customs checkpoints remain Leușeni and Sculești, with 22,572 and 18,335 border crossings, respectively.
