The number of Russian attacks on agricultural infrastructure in the Odesa region has increased significantly since the end of 2025. At the end of last year, Ukraine’s agricultural sector suffered direct losses of more than $11 billion as a result. According to the cited source, this amount includes approximately $6.5 billion in losses from destroyed equipment, damaged infrastructure—particularly grain storage facilities—and lost produce.
At the same time, Taras Vysotsky emphasized that the actual losses of the agricultural sector significantly exceed the estimated amount of direct losses, as they also include lost profits and human capital losses.
