Parking spaces are being created by redesigning the existing sidewalk. At the same time, a new pedestrian sidewalk is being built.
Work is already underway. Dead and diseased trees have been removed, earthwork has been completed, and the site has been prepared for the installation of curbs and the construction of the sidewalk.
Today, this area experiences very heavy traffic, partly due to the nearby institutions. Thanks to the work that has begun, the space will be reorganized for the greater convenience of city residents.
The Buiucani sector is currently undergoing active modernization. For example, on Mitropolit Dosoftei Street (the section between Henri Coandă and Mihai Viteazul Streets), the roadway is being repaved, curbs are being replaced, and sidewalks are being repaired.
Similar work is underway on Nicolae Costin Street, where the worn-out layer of asphalt is being removed, manhole covers are being leveled, and curbs are being replaced. On Alba-Iulia Street, the road surface is being restored, and on Constantin Stere Street (along with a section of Vasile Lupu Street), a new layer of asphalt is being laid and the sidewalk is being repaired.
