The country’s leading research centre, the National Institute for Economic Research (INCE), celebrated the 80th anniversary of its scientific activities. The anniversary forum brought together leading academics, international experts, and representatives from ministries, government departments and the business community. The main theme of the celebrations was the affirmation of the institute’s fundamental role: ‘INCE — 80 years of tradition, academic excellence and influence on the shaping of public policy based on factual data’.

Over the course of its 80-year history, the institute has evolved from its first academic departments into a key centre for independent economic expertise in Moldova. The recent INCE anniversary conference demonstrated once again that the institution is successfully fulfilling its core mission — transforming in-depth scientific knowledge into practical solutions.

Particular attention was paid at the event to the integration of scientific expertise into public administration. The ministry works closely with the institute and reaffirms its commitment to strengthening its partnership with the academic community.

A representative of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalisation, who attended the opening, emphasised that the in-depth expertise of INCE’s researchers plays a crucial role in the implementation of the National Plan for Accession to the European Union and the reforms under the Republic of Moldova’s Growth Plan for 2025–2027.

In recognition of their long-standing professionalism and outstanding contribution to the development of economic thought in the country, representatives and research staff of INCE were officially presented with honorary diplomas from the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalisation.
