During the visit, the Moldovan delegation held working meetings with representatives of the National Institute for Risk Assessment in Food and Veterinary Medicine, the State Veterinary Services, food, and plant production under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania. Discussions focused on the risk analysis process, the responsibilities of departmental laboratories, systems for registering products and production resources, and the mechanism for cooperation between national institutions and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).

The visit was organized with the support of the German project “Strategic Partnership in the Field of Veterinary and Food Safety,” implemented by LAVES and funded by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL).
