This amount was provided by the FNDAMR in the form of complementary (accompanying), post-investment, advance, and targeted subsidies, as well as payments under the LEADER program, according to agromedia, citing AIPA Deputy Director Diana Koshalik.

During the same period, AIPA reviewed more than 2,200 applications, for which farmers were paid more than 62 million lei—as a 100-percent refund of the excise tax on 18,900 metric tons of diesel fuel used between March and May 2026.

Also in the second quarter of this year, the agency received 346 applications from farmers for financial assistance due to corn and sunflower crop losses caused by the 2025 drought. Most of these applications have been reviewed and approved; the remaining small number is currently under review. The government has set aside 50 million lei for these payments.
