In addition to “Gaudeamus-Cinema,” this includes the state-owned enterprise “Auto cu autofinanțare Centrul ‘Servis’,” “Bioreg,” “Revista ‘Sud-Est,’” the “Interarta” Association for Artistic Creation and Management, the “Arta-Cinema” Studio, and the Center for the Development of Industrial Management Systems, the state-owned enterprise “Specialized Automotive Center ‘Nistru–Tavria’.”
The Public Property Agency explains that these enterprises have not engaged in economic activity for a long time, do not submit financial or statistical reports, and do not have any registered real estate under their management.
According to the APP, as of July 29, 2026, these enterprises’ debt to the national public budget did not exceed 5,000 lei. The APP notes that the former founders of several enterprises did not transfer the necessary documentation, so the agency does not have complete information about their assets, liabilities, potential legal disputes, or the number of employees.
The issue of inactive state-owned enterprises was previously discussed at a meeting of a special parliamentary commission. According to the commission, of the 1,359 state-owned enterprises registered in Moldova since 1991, 515 remain operational following numerous reorganizations and liquidations.
As a reminder, the parliamentary commission investigating the activities of state-owned enterprises has requested additional time to carry out its work. It is proposed that its mandate be extended to 90 days.
