Allseeds is suspending operations in Ukraine due to increased risks

The Allseeds Group, one of the world’s largest operators in the oilseed market, has announced the suspension of its operations in Ukraine. The decision was made due to the extremely high risks to the lives and safety of its employees, as well as to its production facilities.

“Due to the significant deterioration of the security situation and the substantial escalation by the Russian Federation of missile attacks, as well as attacks using UAVs, on port and logistics infrastructure in the Odesa region, the Allseeds Group of Companies was, unfortunately, forced to decide to suspend its operations…,” the company’s statement reads.

Allseeds has not ruled out the possibility of a swift return to Ukraine once the security situation stabilizes.

Earlier, Logos Press reported that Maersk, a container shipping operator, had notified its customers that it was unable to provide services in Ukraine via the Black Sea fishing port “due to the deteriorating security situation caused by Russian attacks.”

Ukrainian media report that traders are asking the country’s authorities to acknowledge the threat to shipping along Ukraine’s maritime corridor due to potential widespread breaches of contracts with counterparties. Mykola Gorbachev, president of the Ukrainian Grain Association, confirmed to Latifundist.com that the government’s official position regarding the operation of the maritime corridor is essential for businesses.
