“For many years, the Russian House has been a place of gathering, dialogue, and friendship. Exhibitions, holiday concerts, creative evenings, film screenings, Russian language classes, Maslenitsa celebrations, educational lectures, and much more—we’ve done all of this together with you, dear friends. We hope you’ll cherish many vivid and heartwarming memories of our joint projects.

“We hope that interest in the Russian language, culture, education, and science will not fade, and we will always support you, preserving the opportunity for intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding!” reads the statement from Rossotrudnichestvo.

The Russian Embassy stated that this was due to a decision by the Moldovan authorities, and that some of the center’s functions will now be carried out by the cultural department of the Russian diplomatic mission.
