As a reminder, the agreement involves a €60 million financial package, which includes a €45 million loan from the AFD and a €15 million grant from the European Union.

Earlier, Logos Press reported that this financing will be used to modernize the centralized irrigation system “Criulenii de Sus”, capable of supplying water to 1,276 hectares of farmland, and the “Călinești” system, whose area is 1,794 hectares. 365 land users will have access to water for irrigation of fields and perennial plantations.

It is estimated that the rehabilitation of the irrigation systems will increase agricultural productivity by about 50% compared to the average of the last 10 years, and the project will create about 300 new jobs.
