The corresponding Agricultural Sustainability Data Network Act has been published and will come into force 24 months after publication, in May 2028.

Recall: The Network for the Collection of Accounting Information on Agriculture (RICA) was created to monitor the income and economic activity of agricultural enterprises in Moldova.

The new network will be created in order to collect and analyze data on the sustainability of farms and cover, besides the economic, environmental and social aspects of their activity.

It was expanded with data related to the environmental and social aspects of their activities. This expansion was necessary to analyze the environmental and social impacts of agricultural policies.

The network data will be able to be used to assess these aspects and to address the challenges faced by agriculture. They are intended to inform farmers in order to facilitate farm management and increase their resilience to possible risks.

The results of the analysis will be published on the single government portal of open data and on the official page of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry.
