According to the Chisinau City Hall, firstly, milling of the worn-out asphalt will be carried out, followed by repair works of the road surface. Among other things, the road base will be strengthened where necessary, the base layer will be laid, manholes and water inlets will be brought in line with the ground level, etc., the Chisinau City Hall reports.
In connection with the works, road traffic will be partially restricted on Burebista Street from today. The restriction will be in effect until June 10.
This year, it is planned to reconstruct several traffic arteries of the capital, including: Y. Gagarin Avenue, Sarmizechetusa Street, the section between Kuza Voda Avenue and Burebista Street; Hincesti highway in the area of the traffic circle (Lech Kaczynski Street); Meszter-Manole Street, Munchesti Street (upper part), etc. The reconstruction will be carried out in the vicinity of the traffic circle.
Drivers are advised to observe the temporary road signs installed in the areas where the works are being carried out and, if possible, to choose alternative routes to avoid traffic jams.
