Romania also has a high wheat harvest

This was announced in early July at the Global Grain MENA conference in Cairo by Cesar Gheorghe, founder of AGRIColumn, whose speech is referred to by Ukragroconsult.

The forecast of the mentioned source significantly exceeds the estimate of the European Commission – 10.4 million tons. For comparison, in 2024, Romania’s wheat harvest will amount to 9.29 million tons, which is 3.5% less than in the previous year.

The anticipated high harvest could strengthen Romania’s position as an important wheat supplier in the Black Sea region. Forecasts for the 2025 wheat harvests close to record levels were also reported by grain traders’ and agricultural producers’ organizations in Ukraine and Russia.

Earlier Logos Press wrote about the MAIA Ministry of Agriculture’s forecast of a high wheat harvest in Moldova – about 1.2-1.3 million tons.
