Tractors, trailers, and other equipment will be placed on the market, registered, or put into service only after completing the authorization procedure—which includes the issuance of a certificate of conformity. This document will confirm that agricultural machinery complies with technical and environmental safety requirements, as well as occupational safety standards.
The law will not require re-authorization in the Republic of Moldova for machinery that has already been verified as compliant with international regulations (i.e., machinery that holds a certificate of conformity with UNECE regulations). In other words, authorization will be required only for locally manufactured machinery or machinery imported from countries that do not apply international regulations.
To facilitate the authorization process, the government must establish (or grant the necessary authority to) a competent authority to oversee the machinery market.
