According to the Investment Agency, 14 applications totaling more than 12 million lei were received as part of the second call for proposals. Following the evaluation, funding was approved for 12 associations.
How the grant funds will be used
BRIDGE Export provides co-financing of up to 60% of eligible expenses for projects implemented by business associations to promote exports.
Approved projects include participation in international exhibitions and trade fairs, the preparation of foreign market studies and industry strategies, marketing campaigns, business forums, familiarization and study tours, economic missions, and B2B meetings.
A separate initiative will consist of familiarization visits for foreign journalists, aimed at raising awareness of Moldovan goods and services in foreign markets.
According to Irina Tolstousova, deputy director of the Investment Agency, the projects call for promotion in 11 foreign markets. These include traditional destinations such as Romania, Germany, and France, as well as the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.
“These include trade shows with national pavilions, export missions, industry-specific campaigns, and international conferences,” noted the representative of the Investment Agency.
The program’s goal is to turn companies’ participation in international events and their promotion in new markets into new business contacts, contracts, and increased sales of Moldovan products abroad.
The total amount of export support over three years reached 22.6 million lei
Support for export initiatives through the Investment Agency’s grant mechanisms has been in place for several years.
Over the past three years, more than 22.6 million lei have been allocated to promote exports. These funds made it possible to carry out 170 events as part of 31 initiatives by business associations aimed at promoting Moldovan exports and the internationalization of companies.
According to data provided by the Investment Agency, the supported activities contributed to the export of goods and services worth more than 1 billion lei.
At the same time, the new BRIDGE Export program is designed for a longer period. The program will be implemented over three years, starting in 2026, and its total estimated budget is 60 million lei, to be allocated from the annual state budget.
For the period from April 2026 to April 2027, 20 million lei have been allocated.
To receive funding, projects had to score at least 60 points. An interagency commission evaluated the quality of the proposed programs, the operational capabilities of the associations, the level of co-financing, and the feasibility of the projects.
