Armenia’s new government has presented its Action Program for 2026–2031, in which it has outlined the country’s key economic goals for the next five years.

The focus is on technology, high-value-added manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and deeper integration of Armenian businesses into global supply chains.

According to Armenpress, Yerevan also plans to sign trade agreements with at least five new countries and find new suppliers for at least 15 key product groups.

There is a particular emphasis on logistics: the country aims to build at least 25 cold storage facilities and two agro-industrial centers for the export of agricultural products.

Plans for tourism are no less ambitious. By 2031, Armenia expects to welcome at least 3 million foreign tourists annually and increase domestic tourism to 4.5 million trips.

In effect, Yerevan is proposing a new economic formula: less dependence on individual markets—more technology, exports, investments, and global connections.

As a reminder, parliamentary elections were held in Armenia on June 14. The “Civic Contract” party, led by Nikol Pashinyan, won the election, securing 61 of the 101 seats in the National Assembly. This allowed the party to form a government on its own. In early August, Armenian President Vahagn Khachatryan signed a decree appointing Nikol Pashinyan as prime minister.
