According to the draft resolution prepared by the Ministry of Finance, the funds are intended for elementary, middle, and high schools that are funded based on the standard cost of education per student.

Authorities cite the risk of a shortfall in local budgets for payroll expenses as the reason for the need for additional funding.

The Ministry of Finance specifies that after the allocation of these funds, the remaining appropriations provided for in the state budget to cover salary payments will amount to 210.18 million lei.

The draft resolution is scheduled to be considered at a government meeting next week.
