The entire program, set forth in 140 pages, was presented to them in the form of five issues that must be addressed during this period.

The issues are as follows:

  1. How can we restart the economy?
  2. How can we use our accession to the European Union to modernize the country?
  3. How can we make the government more efficient and fair?
  4. How can we protect peace, democracy, and the rule of law?
  5. And how will all of this affect people’s lives?

“Pessimism is the most dangerous disease of the economy. If entrepreneurs lack confidence, they put off investments. If people don’t see opportunities, they leave. If institutions fail to make decisions, capital flows elsewhere.

That is precisely why this government’s top priority is to restore confidence, energy, and initiative to the economy. Not through optimistic speeches, but through decisions that show people that this is a place worth investing in, working in, and building a future in,” said Vasile Tofan, delivering his policy address to lawmakers.

Vasile Tofan also promised not to waste time on overseas business trips, but to focus on concrete matters within the country.
