Toyota has relaunched a hit: Yaris Cross now looks more expensive and aggressive

The Japanese brand Toyota has staked on design, comfort and technology, while retaining the key advantages of the model - economy and versatility.

The main visual change has affected the front end of the car, writes Toyota. Yaris Cross has a new grille with a honeycomb structure, painted in body color, as well as redesigned optics with integrated daytime running lights. The image is completed by updated alloy wheels – up to 18 inches in the older versions – and an expanded palette of colors, including a new color “Precious Bronze” with a contrasting black roof.

In the cabin, designers have emphasized details and materials. Platinum trim on the doors and front panel forms a more premium feel, while more expensive trims get partial leather trim using the innovative SakuraTouch® material. It combines recycled and plant-based components to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of production.

The GR SPORT version, inspired by Toyota’s motorsport division Gazoo Racing, deserves special attention. It received a unique front bumper, sporty accents in the interior, as well as a reconfigured suspension, providing more precise handling. The interior features suede seats with red stitching and GR branding.

Technically, the model remains true to the hybrid philosophy of the brand. The main power plant is Hybrid 130 with an output of 130 hp, available both with front-wheel drive and with intelligent all-wheel drive system AWD-i. This variant provides acceleration to 100 km/h in 10.7 seconds with an average fuel consumption of about 4.4-5.1 liters per 100 km. The basic version of Hybrid 115 is retained for the initial configurations.

Yaris Cross is still focused on practicality: transformable rear row of seats (40:20:40), spacious trunk and well thought-out ergonomics make it convenient both for the city and for trips outside it. The picture is completed by modern technologies – a multimedia system with cloud navigation, voice control and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Since its debut in 2021, the model has established itself as Toyota’s sales leader in Europe, and the update only strengthens its appeal to a wider audience.
