“Always and everywhere parliamentary factions have been and are created to unite politicians with common political views, to jointly defend these views or, at least, everything that was promised to the voters together at the elections. If there are common views, common goals and strategy, common responsibility for every word spoken, every election promise – then there is a faction. There is no all this? Then there is no faction,” commented MP Mark Tkachuk.
According to him, neither he, nor his colleagues in the Civic Congress “do not understand the meaning of the existence of such a parliamentary faction, in which its members loudly declare that they “are no longer responsible for the actions and statements of their colleagues in the association”. And yet they remain together!”.
“In the current situation, any ambiguity is unacceptable. And that is why the Civic Congress is withdrawing from the parliamentary faction “Alternativa”. This is the only morally acceptable way to honestly and openly answer for all its statements, for all its past and future actions, for all the promises set out in the election program”, – said Tkachuk.
Earlier, the chairman of the MAN party, Chisinau Mayor General Ion Ceban said that the party is leaving the Alternativa bloc, but will remain a member of the general parliamentary faction formed following the election results.
