The creation of an electronic medical record (DES) will simplify and systematize access to medical data and thereby generally improve the efficiency of the health care system. The Ministry of Health has initiated public hearings on this issue.
The need to develop an integrated and patient-centered digital ecosystem in accordance with European standards and the real needs of the healthcare system has long been pointed out by experts.
The development of such a system is also included in the National Program of Digitalization and Innovation in Healthcare for 2025-2030.
In this context, the Ministry of Health organized the first round of public consultations on the implementation of the Electronic Medical Record information system. The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, international organizations and health care institutions.
Discussions focused on analyzing the proposed legal and regulatory framework, identifying the needs, including financial, for the development of the relevant infrastructure and technical resources. The discussion also focused on ensuring the compatibility of information systems in health care and clarifying institutional roles and mechanisms for implementing the resource.
The consultation process will continue in the near future. As emphasized in the information of the Ministry of Health, it is open to all stakeholders involved in the digital transformation of the health sector.
