
The Education and Research Ministry will allocate 732.6 million lei for second-level vocational education programs and 688.8 million lei for post-secondary and post-secondary non-tertiary education programs. The Health Ministry will allocate 127 million lei for the training of specialists in subordinate institutions. This does not include data on state orders for vocational education institutions subordinated to the Interior Ministry and the Defense Ministry. These data are not subject to public disclosure in accordance with the legislation.
In total, the state order for the 2026-2027 academic year includes 8,367 budget places in second-level vocational education (including 2,272 places in dual training) and 3,930 budget places in post-secondary and post-secondary non-tertiary education, as well as 8,479 places on a contract basis in public and private institutions.
The new academic year envisages updating the list of professions and qualifications in accordance with the needs of the labor market, including the introduction of new specialties and updating of existing training programs.
The plan will be reviewed and approved by the Government.
In the 2025-2026 school year, some 8,245 students (+ 14.70%) were enrolled in upper secondary vocational education. About 9,949 students were enrolled in post-secondary and post-secondary non-tertiary education, which also reflects a slight increase compared to the previous academic year (more than 4%).
