Dinu Plingău
The commission was established by a parliamentary resolution on July 2, 2026. It was initially tasked with submitting a report to parliament within 60 days detailing the results of its work, its findings, and relevant recommendations.
As noted in the explanatory memorandum to the draft, the commission members require additional time due to the large volume of documents and the complexity of the materials under review. The authors of the initiative believe that the extension is necessary to conduct a “comprehensive and objective” analysis of the circumstances under investigation.
The commission also intends to involve relevant government agencies in its work to clarify the situation regarding the number of active state-owned enterprises, the condition and use of their assets, as well as their inventory.
It should be recalled that at its first meeting, the commission, headed by MP Dinu Plingău, identified serious problems in the system for managing state-owned enterprises. In particular, some ministries do not even have documents confirming their status as founders, do not have their own representatives on the boards of directors, and do not possess complete information about the condition of the assets of enterprises that are formally under their authority.
