
The fire engulfed the chain’s central warehouse, service center and store with a total area of about 4,000 m². The incident caused significant damage to goods, machinery and the company’s infrastructure. The incident is currently under investigation.
Despite the scale of the disaster, the company’s management stated that it will continue to operate as normal. Regional branches, other warehouses and logistics sites of the network were not affected, so the fulfillment of orders for tires, batteries, motorcycle equipment and other goods continues without interruptions.
The company emphasizes that customer support is extremely important for them now. COLESO.MD representatives note that each new order helps the company to restore resources faster and save jobs for the team of 150 specialists.
The fire broke out on the morning of May 31 at a warehouse on Lunca Bicului Street in Chisinau, where technical equipment, tires and significant amounts of oil were stored. The fire was localized only by noon. Despite the significant material damage, there were no casualties. At the peak of the operation, 90 firefighters and rescuers, 12 special vehicles of the State Fire Fighting Service and 17 units of auxiliary equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
