As Logos Press previously reported, a new patent form was approved this year, and the previous form no longer serves as an authorization or a document subject to strict reporting requirements. However, patents that have already been issued or renewed will remain valid until their expiration dates.
The document provides for their retroactive application from the date of approval of the new patent form, that is, from May 1, 2026.
As a reminder, the new patent form contains the information necessary to identify the owner. This includes the owner’s personal data, type of activity, duration and location of the activity, and the vehicle used for this purpose.
It also specifies the State Tax Service division that issued the patent, as well as a QR code. Scanning the QR code displays all information about the patent, including its status (active, suspended, expired, or renewed).
State Tax Service Order No. 233/2026 also approved the application form for obtaining a patent, through which the holder can also request a reduction in the patent fee.
