AIPA Agency: More Than 1,500 Farmers Have Learned About the Benefits of the New Subsidy Program

Last week, the Agency for Agricultural Interventions and Payments, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, carried out the final phase of a campaign to inform farmers and local administrations about the opportunities offered by the new Strategic Program for Agricultural Policy (PSPA). Based on the initial impressions of experts from the agency and the ministry, the campaign was a success.

Over the course of its three-week seminar cycle, more than 1,500 potential beneficiaries from all regions of the country took part. The AIPA Agency promises to conduct a detailed analysis of the “Q&A” sessions.

This workweek, the final stage of the seminars took place in the southern regions of Moldova. By and large, southerners’ interest in the PSPA was the same as that of all agricultural producers in the country. They were interested in the conditions for receiving budget funding this year, the new procedure for submitting applications to AIPA, the deadlines, and potential obstacles to receiving subsidies.

Agency specialists sought to focus the attention of seminar participants on priority areas and categories of subsidy recipients (startups, small farmers, livestock breeders, and rural activists).
