“I announced my resignation to the Board of Directors about four months ago, but the organization’s asset then could not find a replacement for me,” said Alexandru Bădărău. – Sometimes a change of leadership is necessary, and I hope it will be good for the organization.
Bădareu noted that during his tenure, he tried to represent the interests of farmers in a very difficult dialogue with the authorities. During discussions with parliamentarians, he tried to propose solutions that could improve the financial situation in Moldova’s agriculture sector: the return of excise duty on diesel fuel, access to more affordable financing for farmers, transparent subsidies and a stable agricultural policy.
