Liliana Vitsu-Eșanu
The head of state thanked Anna Revenco for her contribution to the establishment and development of the institution, highlighting her role in shaping an organization that is crucial for strengthening the Republic of Moldova’s resilience to disinformation and foreign interference.
Maia Sandu expressed confidence that the new director will continue to develop the Center and will help strengthen society’s ability to respond effectively to challenges in the information space. Liliana Vițu-Eșanu has more than 25 years of experience in the media and communications sector and has headed the Council for Television and Radio for nearly five years.
For her part, Liliana Vițu-Eșanu stated that the main priority of her term will be to strengthen the Center’s reputation as a professional and trustworthy institution capable of effectively engaging with citizens and countering modern information threats.
“This means clarity—explaining complex information processes in simple and understandable language; cooperation—building strong partnerships with government agencies, the media, the academic community, civil society, and international partners; as well as proactivity—timely identifying and informing the public about new trends, campaigns to manipulate public opinion, and information vulnerabilities so that we can stay one step ahead. “I am confident that, together with the Center’s team, we will become the reliable pillar and guiding force that our society needs,” stated the new director.
