
The delegation included the deputy chairmen of the parliament, as well as the leadership of all 12 standing parliamentary committees.
The program includes meetings with representatives of the European Commission’s Directorate General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations, the European External Action Service and the Council of the EU.
The visit agenda also includes discussions with the European Parliament’s rapporteurs for Moldova on the draft report on the developments in Moldova and the conclusions of the recent mission.
The MPs will also take part in an exchange of opinions with members of the Delegation of the Moldova-EU Parliamentary Association Committee.
The visit will continue with debates on the institutional consequences of the EU enlargement negotiations.
Also, the final report of the ODIHR Parliamentary Election Observation Mission of September 28, 2025 and the recommendations formulated for the national authorities will be discussed.
The agenda also includes discussions on the future of the Multiannual Financial Framework 2028-2034, the Global Europe Instrument and the Reform and Growth Mechanism for Moldova.
At the end of the study visit, conclusions and action lines for strengthening cooperation between the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the European Parliament in the field of democracy support will be presented.
The visit is organized as a result of the recent signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the European Parliament. Its goal is to strengthen relations between the two institutions in the context of the EU accession process and to deepen cooperation in the field of democracy support.
