Maya Sandu: “I hope for further development of strong partnership with Bulgaria”

Moldovan President Maia Sandu voiced hope that after Rumen Radev's victory in the early parliamentary elections, the bilateral partnership between Moldova and Bulgaria will further develop.

“Congratulations to Rumen Radev on his election victory from the Progressive Bulgaria party. I hope to further develop our strong partnership with Bulgaria to strengthen peace, sovereignty and prosperity in our region,” Sandu wrote in X (Twitter).

According to Bulgaria’s Central Election Commission, after 100% of the protocols were counted, Progressive Bulgaria won 44.594% of the votes. In Moldova, the largest number of voters who came to the ballot boxes voted for it – 37.432%. The Renaissance Party follows with a small margin, with 35.582% of the votes cast.
